Oh goodness, how do I even start about our experience? Mara made our whole wedding experience a dream. I sought her out because of her desire to shout the worth of all people, regardless of ability – a passion that I hold in my heart as well. Our engagement pictures were a blast – this was the first time my husband actually enjoyed taking pictures! Not only were the photos beautiful, but the whole experience was so fun. It felt like we had known her our whole lives, and it was easy to smile because we genuinely were having so much fun! Our wedding was even better, if possible. My whole wedding party had been in multiple weddings and can be harsh critics because of that. By the end of the day, I had multiple people in my party telling me they wished they had Mara for their own wedding, and others that wanted her contact information for the future! It wasn’t just the party though – I had multiple guests comment as well! The fact that she played music made the whole day feel like a dance party. The pictures turned out absolutely beautiful – I couldn’t be more happy with the moments Mara (and Marisa!) was able to capture. Further, my cousins from Texas have two kiddos with special needs and have made comments already about wanting to road trip back to Iowa for some family pictures because of Mara’s respect and ability to connect with all people! Mara was so great to work with! My son was fussy and refused to sleep for his 2 week pictures and somehow she was still able to get some incredible pictures of him. She was very patient and tried a bunch of different things to ensure I’d get good pictures of him despite his lack of cooperation. I’d highly recommend her for all your picture needs :)

I loved taking pictures with you! You made Ryan (not a picture guy) feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire experience. The music and movement helped to keep things fun and even though it was freezing outside you kept spirits up! I loved the pictures and I’m excited for our wedding in June!
